Director
Ellen Lempres
Ellen Lempres is a Director at Rise. Ellen works on product, strategy, business development, and data science. She has worked at Uplift Campaigns since 2019 and moved over to head Rise in 2023. She has an MA in Political Science, focusing on quantitative methods and data science, from Columbia University, and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Ellen lives in the East Bay with her husband and their dog, Tumalo.
Director
Andy Barr
Andy Barr is a Director at Rise. Andy helps drive Rise business strategy and product roadmap. In addition to being a director at Rise, Andy is the Managing Director of Uplift Campaigns. Prior to founding Uplift, Andy was a political consultant for SKDKnickerbocker in Washington, D.C., communications director for a US Senate campaign and a political reporter at Politico. After a decade in Washington, Andy, his wife and daughters now call Berkeley, CA home.
Head of Engineering
Steven Gordon
Steven Gordon is Head of Engineering at Rise. Steven leads the engineering team to develop effective and insightful software products for Democratic clients and campaigns. Prior to joining Rise, Steven spent eight years writing software at Slack as a backend engineer. In addition, he has worked on a variety of political campaigns, including Harris for President in 2024 (voter protection in Michigan) and Obama '08 (organizing). Steven and his wife live in San Francisco after migrating from the East Coast.
Head of Data Science
Beatrice Bonini
Beatrice is Head of Data Science at Rise. She oversees the quantitative modeling underlying Rise's products, pairing political science expertise with advanced statistics to drive data-backed media planning and ad buying strategies. Beatrice obtained a PhD in Political Science from Columbia University, where her research combined formal modeling, randomized experiments, and large-scale analysis of social media content to study how platforms and influencer-driven communication reshape political engagement. Prior to coming to the US, Beatrice worked in research and consultancy. She holds an MSc and BS in Economic and Social Sciences, both summa cum laude, from Bocconi University in Milan. Originally from Italy, she now lives in Brooklyn.
Visual Designer
Emily Liu
Emily Liu is a Visual Designer at Rise. She works on UI design and website development. She graduated with honors from UC Santa Barbara, where she double majored in Communication and Art. Prior to joining Rise, she was an Art Director for her local newspaper, where she illustrated and managed the art department. She specializes in graphic design and filmmaking. During her free time she enjoys learning 3D softwares and coding for generative art.
Frontend Engineer
Savi Krishnan
Savi Krishnan is a Frontend Engineer on Rise’s Engineering Team. She collaborates with the team to build and maintain the Ascend platform and deliver data and analytics to clients. Prior to joining Uplift in 2025, she worked as a Data and Software Engineer at a progressive super PAC, Priorities USA, for two political cycles, building out data pipelines and software for a political digital competitive tracking app. She was also a Data Associate at the political communications firm, GMMB. Savi is a graduate of Georgetown University and calls Washington, D.C. and New Jersey home.
Software Engineer
Alex Mindock
Alex Mindock is a Software Engineer at Rise, focusing mainly on frontend development. Prior to joining Rise, Alex worked in the banking industry, creating automated workflows for document OCR and translation, as well as maintaining customer-facing pages within the Claims, Disputes, and Fraud department. He also spent time working in IT for the Ohio House of Representatives where he tested the floor voting system, tracked inventory, and repaired/replaced tech equipment.
Backend Engineer
Bill Keuth
Bill Keuth is the lead Backend and Dev Ops Engineer for Rise Digital Properties. Prior to this role, he worked on integration pipelines for an email marketing organization and before that managed a customer service team for a parking company. Bill hails from the suburbs of Indianapolis and is a proud alumni of Indiana University, where he graduated with a degree in Public Sector and Nonprofit Management. Outside of work, he is an active runner and community leader for a free fitness group. Bill, his partner, and cat all happily reside in San Francisco, CA.
Data Scientist
Pedro Munoz
Pedro Munoz is a Data Scientist at Rise. He works on producing data-driven insights, descriptive, and predictive modeling to assist in Rise’s planning and execution. Pedro is a Bay Area native. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Data Science with a minor in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. There, he engaged with various progressive projects to help his local community, including a San Francisco non-profit. After graduating, he joined the Harris for President campaign as a Data Engineer in the Paid Media Analytics team. Pedro is actively obtaining his masters in Computational Analytics at Georgia Tech.
